No file, no problem. We design from a brief, sketch, calipers, or a photograph. Or send us the physical part. We measure, model, and recreate it in Fusion 360 or SolidWorks.

A 3D printing prototype service that takes you from first mock-up to iteration cycles to small batch manufacturing. Next-day form-fit-function prototypes via our next-day 3D printing service UK tier. DFM feedback catches wall-thickness and draft issues before you pay for a failed print. We use our 3D printing prototype to production pathway to take brands all the way from first sample to monthly retainer batches without a single tooling spend.

What clients say about our UK 3D printing service on Google
“James handled the 3D printing for a functional heat resistant component we needed in batch production. He helped dial in the prototype first with their design service, then produced the final batch with really consistent results. Super fast 3D print turnaround and great quality across all the 3D printed parts. Will 100% be coming back.”
“We needed a sit-in F1-car for an exhibition to showcase our new racing game. 3D Printing Express took our CAD, optimised it for strength and weight as we had no idea how it all worked! Turned out beautifully. They colour matched the finish and was looking like the real deal. On show day the cockpit ran non-stop, adults and kids jumped in. Multiple visitors asked who built it.”
“We ordered a batch of 100 PA-12 parts from 3D Printing Express and could not be happier. Every part arrived consistent, dimensionally accurate, and ready for use straight from the box. The PA-12 gave us the strength and stability we needed for functional testing, with minimal post-processing required. Delivery was on time, communication was excellent, and their QC clearly made a difference.”

Why choose 3D Printing Express
Three things every brief gets, regardless of size or budget.
Human review on every brief
Our engineers see your file before you get a quote. We spot what algorithms miss: wall thickness, orientation, material mismatches. You save a reprint.
No minimum order
One part or 5,000. Same care either way.
UK-only supply chain
No offshore routing. Next-day nationwide.
Our print-quality promise
Whether it’s one part or 10,000, we check every design before a single printer is switched on. So if you’re new to 3D printing and not sure if your file is right · don’t worry. That’s exactly what we’re here for. And if you’re running a batch, every unit goes through the same engineer review before it ships.
Our Bournemouth workshopWho is 3D Printing Express?
A UK 3D printing operation built around a 30+ printer fleet. We produce bespoke props, engineering-grade parts, small-batch production runs, and obsolete-part restorations for clients across the country. Founded in 2024 by James Crisford and Freddy Blake, two product-design engineers who got tired of UK 3D printing being either booked-demo enterprise or hobbyist gamble. Every brief still passes through one of us before we quote it. Every part ships UK-wide on Royal Mail Tracked or DPD Next Day. Send us a brief, file, sketch, photo, or just a description, and you will have a real engineer’s quote inside 6 hours.

Need a next-day 3D printing service UK turnaround?
Every job rides the queue toward our printer. Standard delivery is 5 to 7 working days, included with every order. Three paid tiers let you skip ahead when a deadline is tight:
- Fast Track · jumps a few jobs forward · 3 to 5 working days.
- Priority · same-day kick-off, near the front of the queue · 1 to 2 working days.
- Express · stops everything else and prints yours first · same-day printing, next-day UK delivery.
Same materials, same QC, same engineer review · only the position in the schedule changes.
Express Delivery
Skip the entire queue. We pause other work and print yours first. Best for hard deadlines.

FAQs
Before you send a brief
Most fit and durability issues we catch upstream, before printing. Every brief is reviewed by a real engineer · we check wall thickness, orientation, support traps and material choice, and flag anything that looks risky before you commit. If something does come back wrong, reply to the dispatch email and we’ll work out the fix together · in practice that’s almost always a small tweak we already saw a hint of in the brief. We don’t promise a blanket reprint, but we do promise an honest conversation and a real fix.
Yes. A photo and a couple of dimensions is enough to start. A sketch with rough sizes works. A broken part posted to us works. We turn whatever you’ve got into a printable file (CAD & reverse-engineering is one of our six services), and that fee is rolled into the print order if you go ahead.
Standard turnaround is the queue you see above · most jobs ship within 5-10 working days. If your deadline is tighter, three paid tiers move you up the queue: Fast Track moves up the line, Priority kicks off same-day, Express pauses other work. Tell us the date, we’ll tell you which tier (or whether the date is realistic) before you commit.
Hobby-grade FDM has visible layer lines, stringing, and elephant’s-foot at the base. Ours doesn’t. Every job runs on calibrated Bambu Lab X1C / P1S printers with hardened nozzles, dialled-in temps and flow per material, and Polymaker / Fiberon filament. If you need post-processing (vapour smoothing, paint, dyeing, threaded inserts) we’ll quote it as part of the brief. The Bruff Drinks event tray and the Beryl Bikes case studies above are both unfinished prints straight off the bed.
STEP, STL, 3MF, OBJ, IGES, F3D, SLDPRT. We prefer STEP because it preserves the design intent (we can tweak wall thickness or split for orientation). STL works fine for finished geometry. If you only have a sketch, photo or hand-drawing, send that · the CAD service builds the file from there.
Material cost (per gram of filament used) + machine time (per hour the printer runs) + post-processing (only if you need it) + a small handling charge. No minimums, no setup fees, no per-unit penalty for ordering one. Quotes are itemised so you can see exactly where the cost sits · same logic whether you’re ordering 1 piece or 1,000.
The questions we get asked most. If yours isn’t here, email hello@3dprintingexpress.co.uk · we reply within 2 working hours on average.
